The La Crosse Storytelling Festival and Bluff Country Tale Spinner members hosted a booth at Artspire again this year. The Artspire steering committee made the perfect decision to have the artist and non-profit booths in the nearby parking ramp. We stayed dry, met lots of people, and had a great day.

Committee member Lori Portner designed and organized our booth which focused on children telling stories. We heard many wonderful stories! Some kids came back multiple times to share new stories. The day just flew by.

Lori is also organizing the Children’s activities at the Fest this year with the theme of children telling their own stories. The children’s program starts at 10:00 am on July 23 and includes teller Kay Weeden, musician Hans Mayer, and Lori’s activities. All this will be at the Pump House and the children’s program is free to all. So come and listen to some stories and music and then tell a story!
